How to create a new Outlook profile

If you use more than one email address or have authority on another person's email account you may need to set up separate user profiles.

1. Locate the Microsoft Outlook icon on your desktop

  • Right click on Microsoft Outlook and select Properties

2. In the Mail Setup screen
  • Click on Show Profiles



3. In the Mail screen, click Add



4. In the New Profile screen, enter a new profile name
  • Click OK



5. In the E-mail Accounts screen, select Add a new e-mail account

  • Click Next



6. Select Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Click Next



7. Enter the following Server Settings:

  • Microsoft Exchange Server: psych2x.psychology.ucla.edu
  • User Name: LoginID (Please replace with your e-mail login)
  • Click More Settings



8. In the Microsoft Exchange Server screen

  • Go to the Advanced tab
  • Under Logon network security, select None
  • Click OK



9. You will return to the E-mail Accounts screen

  • Click Next
  • Click Finish



10. Back to the Mail screen

  • Select Prompt for a profile to be used (Optional)
  • Click OK



11.When you start Microsoft Outlook, it will prompt you to choose a profile
  • Select your profile from the dropdown menu
  • Click OK



12. Enter your User Name and Password

  • Domain Name: Psychology
  • Click OK



13. You will be directed to your Outlook Mailbox

  • Voila!
